As unelected PM Gordon "Cyclops" Brown slinks off to belatedly sign the Constitution, here are some words that New Liebour promised back in 2005 in their general election manifesto:
We will put it [the European Union constitution] to the British people in a referendum and campaign whole-heartedly for a 'Yes' vote.
Also Pasha Blair his boss at the time stated:
We don't know what is going to happen in France, but we will have a referendum on the constitution in any event—and that is a government promise.

I guess what those leftist scum were saying was, if you promise to vote 'yes', we'll hold the referendum. Other wise we'll just do it anyway and screw the lot of you over because you don't know what's good for you.
They might have screwed the nation, but Brown come the election is fucked.
