Labour MP Rob Marris is a liar.

Rob Marris, MP for Wolverhampton South West, caused £350 worth of damage when he climbed over the bonnet of a parked white van in his rush to board a bus.

He originally denied the offence but admitted his guilt to police before he was due to appear at Coventry Magistrates' Court.

The 53-year-old politician, a trained solicitor and son of a magistrate, accepted a conditional caution, which does not count as a criminal conviction.

Mr Marris has also been ordered to write a letter of apology to the van's owner, the Crown Prosecution Service said, and must pay the repair bill for the two dents caused to the vehicle's bonnet.

Colin Molloy, district prosecutor for the CPS Black Country region, said: "Mr Marris walked over the bonnet of the van and caused two minor dents. There were two vehicles parked in front of a bus stop with a small gap between them."

Other passengers had walked through the gap but Mr Marris chose not to, Mr Molloy said. "The van was not parked to his liking," he added.

A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: "We can confirm that Rob Marris attended Bilston Street police station on 3 June and accepted a conditional caution, having been charged with an offence of criminal damage."

A Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) spokesman said: "He admitted to the charge of criminal damage. That's why we decided to give him a conditional caution.

"A conditional caution is appropriate to someone who we feel will not commit further offences."

The conditional caution is a recently introduced legal tool aimed at stopping courts getting clogged up with minor cases.

Mr Marris said afterwards: "I am pleased the police have decided not to pursue this minor matter any further. I accept that what I did was rather unconventional, but the small van was needlessly preventing safe access for boarding the bus.

"I am sorry that, when walking across the bonnet of that van, to get on the bus, I damaged the van. That was never my intention."

**Ah Rob, hell lets call you Bob far friendlier. See Bob the problem is not the van, how it was parked, or your shoe dents on the van, or even the fact that you were an arsey fucker in not walking through the gap as others had but deciding that as it was not parked to your liking that you would go a-walking over the bonnet.

No the problem Bob, the whole sodding crux of the matter is that you lied. I am sure that many of the fine folk who put you into office - including I bet the poor van owner who has your shoe dents in his bonnet - will be so pleased at your "Don't you know who I am" attitude and really impressed with the fact that you origially lied.

They will I am sure be wondering if having lied about that, what else has our Bob been fibbing about. After all its not as if this was anything really serious to lie about, had you been honest a quick proverbial slap across the wrist from plod and all would have been forgotten.

Its not as if you lied even for the sake of avoiding a fine or bill for repairs to the bonnet, after all MP's are not short of a few quid and hell you could have added it to expenses I am sure. You have already cost the taxpayers of this fine land some £127,583 in expenses in the year 06/07.

One final point here Bob, you did strike me as an authoritarian fucker, after all the attitude of the van not being parked to your liking and then your walking over it.

So I did a spot of checking and found that you voted for the dire ID cards bill.

So that is settled then, Rob Marris MP is both a liar and an authoritarian cunt to boot.

How the hell...

I've been in a hurry before, i've had to run and i've jumped over furniture, but never thought of walking over a van. What a tosser, good that he has to cough up the costs. Perhaps those who vote next time might remember his antics.
