Ex MP Helen Clark is as mad as a proverbial box of snakes.

FORMER Peterborough MP Helen Clark has threatened to take legal action after a film of her involved in an altercation in a Peterborough hotel was posted on a video hosting website.

A YouTube video, apparently filmed on a mobile phone, shows Mrs Clark embroiled in a row with staff in the bar of a city centre hotel.

During the 73-second clip, she furiously accuses a hotel employee of victimising and humiliating her.

When the former Labour MP was contacted by The Evening Telegraph yesterday, she declined to comment on the video but said she would be seeking legal advice.

She said: "I will be contacting my lawyers.

"I don't want to say anything about it, but obviously I will be taking legal action."

**After all as Mrs Clark stated "why was I treated like this? Why was I treated like a cunt" - a sure case of legal victory there, never mind the hysterics, the abuse of the poor member of staff. She is portraying herself as the victim somehow here?

Mrs Clark, who served as Peterborough's MP between 1997 and 2005, is shown in the film sitting with a friend at a table in the bar area of the Great Northern Hotel.

The footage begins part way through a heated exchange between Mrs Clark and an unseen female employee.

Although it is not clear from the clip what the dispute is about, the poster of the video claims it was sparked after Mrs Clark was refused service by staff.

Loudly protesting she has been wronged by the hotel worker, she says: "Why was I treated like this?"...

**It also features some tears on the part of Mrs Clark, as well as her using some rather abusive language towards a member of hotel staff as I stated earlier, whilst rather "tired and emotional", as the old saying go's.

Woe is me, boo hoo. Helen Clark acts like a pissed up arsehole, gets caught now attempts to cover her tracks and blame anyone, everyone else. Sounds like a typical Labour type, guess she did learn some lessons whilst in The Commons...

Helen Clark gets off with a slap across the wrist...

A former Labour MP has been given a conditional discharge after being found guilty of using threatening words and behaviour to hotel bar staff.

Helen Clark, who represented Peterborough between 1997 and 2005, was convicted after a two-day trial at Peterborough Magistrates' Court.

Clark, who had denied any offence, was found not guilty of being drunk and disorderly.

Prosecutors alleged that Clark, a 54-year-old former English teacher, lost her temper after bar staff refused to serve her more alcohol in the Great Northern Hotel in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, during the afternoon of Sunday June 15, 2008.

The court heard that Clark, her husband Alan and a friend had been drinking from around midday to around 5pm while discussing politics.

Clark told the court that she had downed "in the order of" a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. But she denied being drunk and denied calling a barmaid "Portuguese b*tch".

Part of the episode was filmed on a barmaid's mobile phone - and footage was shown in court. In the film, Clark was seen holding her head in her hands and screaming and shouting. The court was told the mobile phone footage later appeared on the internet site YouTube.

District Judge Nicholas Leigh-Smith said prosecutors had not proved Clark was drunk and disorderly but had proved she was guilty of using threatening words and behaviour.
Judge Leigh-Smith said Clark had had a "preoccupation with self and self-image".

He added: "I am satisfied the behaviour on the whole was threatening and abusive. It was certainly disorderly. Mrs Clark was clearly out of control."
