Gordon Brown - Intellectual.

First from the Wardman Wire we had this definition of brownism

Definition of Brownism: (braun’i(z’?m)

1. (verb) The subtle art of combining of words into sentences that are meant to deliberately mislead or confuse the general public.

Origins: A term coined to categorize all of Prime Minister Brown’s eccentric speech.

Example: A sample Brownism: “This will be a government of no spin.”

Notes: See also: Spin doctor; Machiavellian; dishonest.

Then we had this:
"Thatcherism and Blairism were easily defined but what exactly is Brownism? Obsessed that the state knows best, Brownism can best be described by its dubious achievements: record taxation, hyper-regulation, the biggest debts in Europe, the destruction of private pension schemes, post office closures, appalling public transport and a looming energy crisis." (Tom Bower, Evening Standard)
Then this from The Spectator
He seems keen to postpone a battle on anything: from the general election to the European Union referendum. Postponing battles is fast becoming the essence of Brownism.
But Brownism can also come from back bench MP's who offer praise up to the glorious leader: from the asshat that is Paul Flynn
Gordon Brown and Brian Cowen are intellectuals.1 Their views are moderated by their ability to see all sides of an argument.2 With them, there is always the unspoken ‘but’ moderating the conviction of all their statements.3 Gordon fails to carry his private warmth and humour into his public persona. The crackling thrilling electricity of a great communicator is never there.4
1.Gordon an intellectual, hardly. His management of UK Plc leaves a lot to be desired.
2. All sides of an argument so long as it is Gordon's side that wins.
3. In short he believes he is right and fails to listen.
4. He drones on, dithers and bores.
