Well that particular turd has refloated to the top of the New Labour pan as reported in the Daily Mail

Immigration rules are to be tightened to encourage firms to give jobs to native rather than foreign workers as the recession bites, Jacqui Smith has pledged. 

The Home Secretary is to change the rules governing how vacancies for skilled workers are advertised in an effort to curb the rapid rise in unemployment among Britons.

So lets see what the what pea brained, dope smoking, kebab eating, bovine faced, slack jawed, fat arsed Home Sec. Jacqui Smith will actually do? 

The answer is not much. Anyone from the EU can still apply as can non EU workers. All they are talking about doing is this:

In future vacancies will also have to be advertised in a Jobcentre Plus for two weeks – where a non-EU national cannot apply – so it is hoped a British worker will be more likely to see the job first and take it.

Thats it. No actual jobs for British workers as they won't break equal opportunities laws/EU laws. So its a non measure that means fuck all to anyone in any real terms.
