Red Tape brought in by New Labour has cost £77 billion.

Rules, regulations and red tape, they give New Labour folk a boner....Red tape introduced by Labour has cost firms £77billion, it was claimed yesterday.

The bill for the past year alone is put at more than £10billion, according to figures prepared for the British Chambers of Commerce.

The business group said the extra expense was dragging down companies already struggling to survive the recession.

**No doubt Gordon will get right onto it, after another whirlwind tour of America or somewhere, followed by some urgent meetings with minor celebs. Maybe a Red Tape quango could be set up to look into red tape, staffed by another 100,000 public sector workers?

No the ultimate Quango, a Labour wet dream.

Linking all the quangos and parts of government and dreaming up more regulations in order to de-regulate the mess they created.
