Crass stupidity.

Sometimes there is a statement that comes along, a comment so stupid in every single aspect that it has no redeeming qualities what so ever.

Take this one by Caroline Lucas, who we are told by the Daily Mail, is the leader of the Green Party. She utter this drivel

She suggested that travellers who regularly jet off to the Costas are threatening the lives of others - and do as much damage as thugs who stab people in the street.

Ms Lucas, who is also a Member of the European Parliament, made the controversial comment during a televised ITV debate about plans for a proposed third runway at Heathrow. She also hit out ‘binge flying’ and people who have second homes abroad.

When asked if flying to Spain was as bad as knifing a person in the street, Ms Lucas said: ‘Yes - because they are dying from climate change.’

Now having worked for quite a few years in the nite-club trade, I have seen the results of glass attacks, the odd stabbing and one rather unpleasant night having to hold a chaps face together after a fight. 

Therefore I feel that she is someone who doesn't know what she is talking about. That she is wrong and I think that anyone who has ever been stabbed or attacked would most strongly disagree with; and yes I have had that happen to myself as part of my work on occasions. 

As for saying that jumping a plane is as bad as being knifed I would say that being knifed is rather worse. Given the choice between a meal and some over priced drinks on a Squeezejet or having a few inches of metal in the body I would pick the flight every time.

A typical puritanic wanker of the new political elite, living in a fantasy world of their own making, concerned with their own pet causes that have no relevance to the lives of ordinary people.
