Smeargate - Resignation letter....

I am shocked and appalled that we have been caught with our pants down, however they were obtained, these e-mails have been put into the public domain by Paul Staines and he did it before we could smear the Tories.

When Derek Draper originally suggested using a website to compete with the kind of material seen regularly on the Guido Fawkes blog we thought it would be a jolly old jape mocking the Tories and casting smears on their private lives, he asked me in a personal capacity to write up some of the stories doing the rounds in Westminster and I have agreed to keep Gordon out of it and be the fall guy.

Derek and I decided in the end that this website was the wrong thing to do as we are just inept with online sites and we decided this after we had been caught out, and that Derek should not take his online efforts down to the level of Guido Fawkes and his Tory backers the bastards just keep beating us? Why.

I have already apologised for the inappropriate and juvenile content of my e-mails, and the offence they have caused and for the votes this will be costing us, but I did not want these stories in the public domain - I wanted them buryed and spun to oblivion it is because Paul Staines has put them there, and I am sickened that he has done so. We don't interact, we just spin and people are sick of it, I am bitter that we are not believed despite 12 years of hype, spin, lies and tractor stats from myself.

However, we all know that when a backroom adviser becomes the story, their position becomes untenable, so I have willingly offered my resignation before I was thrown out for making a mess of this.

It has been an absolute privilege to work for Gordon Brown and the Labour government in the Treasury and in Downing Street, they will always have my full support, and I regret any embarrassment I have caused them and will keep a low profile for a few weeks before doing a Peter Mandelson and coming back.

**The fucker just doesn't understand that they in the Labour party started this, they planned all this out and now are throwing the toys out because their byzantine scheming has been exposed for the world to see.

It reminds in a way of those occasional stories when some celeb is caught pants down, or on video doing things they would rather we not all know about. Then the excuses start, how dare the police arrest them, how dare the CCTV footage be put out, its all someone elses fault. 

Yes, I know I did it but did they have to tell. 

Of course when it happens to someone else, that is all well and good. I for one am enjoying every pain filled minute of them, loving every squirm every lie and attempt to backtrack, each excuse, half truth and even now they just can not help themselves and keep on a spinning.

Mind as these poisonous political toads are concerned, anyone who wants rid of them has to be backed by the evil Tories. The idea that people of all walks of life find them morally repellant and abhorrent that they want to bring them down out of sheer pleasure is lost on them.  It's pure schadenfreude.
