Champagne socialist Eric Joyce.

Comrade Eric Joyce, the Labour MP for Falkirk, has emerged as Britain's most expensive member of parliament after claiming £187,334 in allowances and expenses in 2007-8.

Claimed £40,637 in travel expenses, including £21,459 in air fares – the second highest travel bill for any MP.

In the past he has vowed to cut the amount he spends on air fares, chopping £10,000 off his overall bill between 2006 and 2007, but the newly-released figures show his spending has crept back up.

No worrying from Eric about his carbon footprint!

Firstly fido, your blog takes a while to download and I've a ery speedy iMac.

Anyway onto this fraudster. How can he substantiate flights at that cost unless he's flying half of Falkirk up and down to London each week. Surely someone realised it's far too much, plus his other travel expenses of course. I really would like to see the detail.
