Rt. Hon. Jonathan Shaw MP - Twat of the day: Private details of electric bill on his website.

A big hat tip to 10 Drowning Street for this one.

He has noticed that Jonathan Shaw, Labour MP for Chatham & Aylesford who has the following picture on display in his gallery section;
There we see him with one of his voters holding up an electric bill a quick click on the pic and all the details are there to be seen.

Address, reference numbers and even how much she owes on the bill. The image here is pixelated, but the original on the MP's website is not.
And we wonder why time and time again, data just seems to go wandering off from folk employed by the state.

Mr Shaw I noticed some time back when he announced that HM Govt had been spending lots of money on 2nd Life. Junior minister Jonathan Shaw told Parliament it cost £20,000 to build and a further £12,000 a year to maintain.

He also had to point out that his department(Defra) had "lost" some 20,000 cows.
In a situation described as "udder" chaos, officials at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) admitted in Parliamentary questions that 20,979 of the animals had been mislaid.

The livestock should have been logged on Defra's Cattle Tracing System, devised to protect public and animal health after the BSE and foot and mouth epidemics.
He also voted for the dire lock folk away for 42 days without due process bill.

As well as doing his best to try to cover up MP expenses from FoI requests.

I thought I would have a look at his expenses. As I thought he has claimed all the usual suspects back, electric, water, council tax - all the taxes us little folk on less than an MP's wage - have to pay.

Also he has claimed the TV licence back, after all we can not have poorly paid MP's having to fund their own telly viewing.

Plus he helps himself to free food - thats free for him as we pay for it - with the MP's food allowance, making regular claims of £250/£400 a month.

Like many MP's Mr Shaw also charges the taxpayer for cleaning, one would think that he could take the time to push a hoover about the office and save the taxpayer some cash.

Charged the taxpayer £300 for mortgage arrangement fees and £244 and £513.47 leasing fees. Oh and solicitors fees of £611 and £365 and £205.62 and £1301.50 quid. Surveyors fees £985.12.

Also rather than pay it himself or use his house insurance he charged us £214 quid for a plumber.

Then there was £2200 for a heating system and £241.50 on carpet and £149.99 for a radio. £274.97 on bedding

Decorating & repairs came to £2000

Plus he had lots of expenses forms to sign, so he bought a table for £170 as well. In fact two tables as he also got one for £85 quid.

Not happy with FoI requests, yet displays someones details for the world to see. If Defra is run with the same level of care that he takes over data security, it is little wonder that some 20,000 cows have gone missing.

John M Ward is also covering this.
