New Labour spy state.

Never mind the recession we need to spy on the plebs.
An astonishing £380 a minute will be spent on surveillance in a massive expansion of the Big Brother state.
The £200million-a-year sum will give officials access to details of every internet click made by every citizen - on top of the email and telephone records already available.
It is a 1,700 per cent increase on the cost of the current surveillance regime.
Last night LibDem home affairs spokesman Chris Huhne described the sum as 'eye-watering'.
'There is already enough concern at the level of Government snooping,' he said.
'In an era of tough spending choices, it cannot be a justified response to the problems we face as a country to lavish millions of pounds a year on state spying.
All utterly wasteful, its not as if they can even make proper use of the information they have already gathered. Hell they even lost track of 40,000 illegal migrants. I doubt very much that for the 200 million quid we will see even one terror plot stopped, although we might see Mrs Jones at No.11 snooped on and fined for putting out scraps of waste food in the wrong bin.

Worth every penny of the £200 million quid I am sure.

That figure £200m sounds suspiciously low to me; it's only three quid each.
How much hard drive can you get for that not to mention garnering the information and then paying ARMIES of bored people to sift through it ?
