Labour's “open door” immigration policy knowingly risked allowing dangerous people to settle in Britain unchecked, according to documents seen by The Sunday Times.
The Whitehall correspondence, which was illegally withheld by the Home Office for four years, shows how ministers were told by the country’s most senior immigration official that his staff were to be “encouraged to take risks” when granting visas, work permits and extended residency to hundreds of thousands of new migrants.
The cover-up of this policy of risk-taking was so concerted that Richard Thomas, the then information commissioner, sent a team of investigators into the Home Office to trawl all the relevant papers. Earlier this year he rebuked the department for breaking the law and ordered it to release the material under the freedom of information (FoI) law.
The documents help to explain the huge rise in the flow of migrants into Britain as the Home Office rushed to clear a backlog of 45,000 cases. Not so long back it came out that this shower of shit that disgraces the term government, actually opened the door to migrants for no other reason than to push some mad fantasy pc policy.
...a driving political purpose: that mass immigration was the way that the Government was going to make the UK truly multicultural'.
Now an analysis of officials statistics has found that - from the date the report was published - the number of foreign nationals being allowed into the UK surged.
Whitehall statistics show that in the year of the document's publication, 370,000 non-British nationals arrived. That rose to 416,000 the following year and, by 2006, had reached 510,000.
In 2007, it fell back slightly to 502,000 - but this was still an increase of 30 per cent on 2001.
For net foreign immigration - the number of non-British citizens arriving, versus the number leaving - the figures are more dramatic.
In 2001, it stood at 221,000 - but by 2007 it had reached 333,000 - up by 50 per cent. This is the size of the increase in the foreign-born population of the UK.Again they tried to keep that policy covered up from the public, relying on the tried and tested method of calling all those who oppose Nazi's and evil racist little Englanders.
"Part by accident, part by design, the Government had created its longed-for immigration boom.
"But ministers wouldn't talk about it. In part they probably realised the conservatism of their core voters: while ministers might have been passionately in favour of a more diverse society, it wasn't necessarily a debate they wanted to have in working men's clubs in Sheffield or Sunderland."Then we have crime, despite quotes from rent-a-fecking-quote MP's like the odious Steven Pound on how all is well is the socialist nirvana, in the real world they have failed on gun crime which is soaring ever upwards. Gun crime has almost doubled since Labour came to power as a culture of extreme gang violence has taken hold.
But worry not folks, as a Labour minister will turn up and make you feel safe by lying to you.
Like the vile little Liam Byrne an odious underpant sniffer, fit only for issuing tractorstats and who claimed that crime was at an all time low back in March. "Crime was at the lowest since records began" he claimed. Really? Well this shows the lie to his words as does this.
Although he knows a fair bit about breaking the law having been fined for using a mobile whilst driving.
He once told a parliamentary committee that the most dangerous drivers were "serial potential killers" and said he was "shocked" at the leniency of sentences handed down to them.He received only a fine, so another "serial potential killer" back at work in the House of Commons.
Maybe Liam would care to comment on why the plod are just handing out cautions for assault and other crime against the person?
Worry not Liam and his ilk believe that "Crime was at the lowest since records began".
Maybe Liam could explain that to the 2 year old attacked by muggers?...
