Paul Clarke - E-mail Postman Prat Alan Johnson.

A few days ago I e-maied our Home Sec. and former postman the dire Alan Johnson MP who is rapidly becoming as inept as the rancid rasher one Jacqui Smith, about the case of Paul Clarke who was charged and found guilt of possession of a firearm despite his just handing it into the police.
Dear Mr Johnson,
I am e-mailing you in your role as Home Sec. about the travesty of justice that is the case of Paul Clarke, who as the below link shows has been charged for no other offence than attempting to be a good citizen:

Indeed rather than taking him to court, a simple thanks very much an we shall be looking for the real criminal who left the gun there would have been a better action, but instead he was arrested and taken to court.

Then in some catch 22 type situation told that it was a "strict liability" charge – therefore Mr Clarke's allegedly honest intent was irrelevant.
Just by having the gun in his possession he was guilty of the charge, and has no defence in law against it, he added.
I appeal to you to raise this matter in the House of Commons, set Mr Clarke free and issue him with an apology from the state.
Indeed this case shows that the police and CPS have acted without the best intentions of upholding the laws of the land and as the below case shows, the police have also asked citizens to hand in guns themselves.

Yours in disgust as the travesty British justice has become,
Above is the mail I sent off to Alan, wonder if he will get his head out from his expenses forms long enough to reply? Actually I have sent him the e-mail twice, just in case in gets lost in the magical interweb, not that I would suggest for a moment that an overpaid MP or one of their staff would delete e-mails.
