So it has all come to light that Deputy PM Prescott has fucked up again by not paying his poll tax, sorry they call it community charge these days. Phrases like "admin error" and "oversight" are being thrown about by the Deputy PM's office. Although my fave out of the many soundbites is "inadvertent error".

The Conservatives said a "sustained campaign" of parliamentary questions and Freedom of Information Act requests by Ms Spelman had prompted Mr Prescott's admission. One can only assume that the Deputy PM will also be paying interest and administrative charges on the bill, as the rest of us have to.

Yet again we see that the so called socialist values that they harp on about all the time are only supposed to apply to the rest of us, the mere plebs who voted ol lard boy Prescott and his morally bankrupt ilk into power.

Prescott has said that his Westminster residence should be considered his primary residence for Council Tax purposes, this is because the rating is far lower than that of Hull.

The Tories' Caroline Spelman said the public "will find it galling" that Mr Prescott had not paid the bills.

"People could be forgiven for thinking 'there is one rule for Cabinet Ministers and another for the rest of us'," said Ms Spelman, the shadow secretary for local government.

Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott has apologised after admitting council tax bills for one of his official homes were paid with taxpayers' money.

A total of £3,830.52 in public money was used from 1997 to pay tax for the flat at Admiralty House, London.

Mr Prescott, who is in charge of council tax, said it was a mistake and he was reimbursing the government.
