New Labour - Playing the nationalist card.

Realizing they are in a fix, that the dream of a socialist utopia filled with endless hoards of migrants has not gone down well with the natives, New Labour have started to panic. They have seen the BNP rise and in each and every election(both national & local) the Labour share of the vote shrink.

Both seats in my area(Newport) returned Labour MP's but with reduced majorities.

So having knocked every aspect of this nation, what could be termed "Britishness" for the last 10 years, now think are in the believe that they can claim it back. They are arrogant enough to believe they can rebuild it with a few citizenship lessons, a spot of token flag waving and some re-jigging of the national curriculum along with some classic New Labour spin in the media.

Sadly - for them - they will find that destruction is easier than construction.

School-leavers should be encouraged to swear an oath of allegiance to Queen and country, says a report commissioned by Gordon Brown on British citizenship. Report author, ex-attorney general Lord Goldsmith, says it would give teenagers a sense of belonging. Council tax and student fee rebates are suggested for people who volunteer - as well as a "Britishness" public holiday.

Oh where to begin, it was the chattering Labour MP's(plus media lovies in The Guardian etc) who have lambasted our state institutions. It was them who blamed all of the worlds various assorted faults and ills on our imperial past. It was them who blamed us for the slave trade - forgetting the fact that we were the first imperial power to ban slavery in our empire and also forgetting the role that moslems/Africans had and still have in the slave trade. It was them who ran down over the last ten years the value of our history. It was them who opened up our nation to countless people from alien cultures not foreseeing the problems that would result - then who blamed the natives for any problems. It was them who devalued our institutions - the House of Lords as an example - and said that we should be no longer "little Englanders" but happy euro citizens in the huge socialist fuck up that is the EU.

They hate to their core the values of free choice, free expression, freedom from the state - the very values that are 100% against New Labour national socialist ideology. They will find that trying to get people to wave the flag, will also have those same people re-discovering their attempts to stifle the very aspects that they now promote.

I look forward to the fun of seeing New Labour attempt to spin that.

They argue we need a Britishness Day! We need to swear an oath of allegiance to the Queen, to sing the national anthem, to wave the flag etc etc to allow a tear to slide down our cheeks as we contemplate our great and glorious one eye'd leader.

Oh and it has been done before and look at the trouble this caused....maybe not the most pc reference but well they are all socialists...
