Tom Harris MP - Proves that he really does deserve the title of 'cunt of the year'

Tom Harris MP was sent a copy of 1984, along with every other MP in the House of Commons. The reason that the MP's were sent a copy was as a warning about the way we are having our traditional liberties removed and eroded by this government.

Copies of 1984 sent to MP's.

This seems to pass Tom by, in much the way that logic passes by so many of our piss poor MP's.

Tom seems to feel that such jolly stuff as the DNA database and the use of  security powers with regards RIPA to be nothing to worry about.

Sod the views of hundred of people who took an opposing stance, just like my own mini eco fascist one Paul Flynn MP of Newport, he sees his view as the only important one.

So after many comments on previous posts Tom just posts this(below). Agree to disagree, well fucking right me old dictatorial chum.
Well lets have a quick look at the heavy tactics used by the authorities these days, just a quick example of state thuggery is this: Poppy pair threatened by police

A POPPY seller has accused two police officers of threatening to ban the Royal British Legion if she did not stop going house-to-house during Halloween or after dark.

Jan Hinton, 51, has been a Royal British Legion collector in Weymouth, Dorset for more than a decade, raising hundreds for the charity.

She was out with poppy partner Charlotte Warren-Sinclaire, 16, when police stopped them last week.
The two officers were responding to a call from a worried resident who thought the Poppy Appeal was not carrying out door-to-door collections and feared the collectors were bogus.
Hinton said: "They said: 'We don't want you collecting after dark, do daytimes', and also: 'This is not a good idea because this is Halloween.'

Well there is a whole raft of issues there, first off the police not having the power to stop anyone going about their lawful business - in this case selling poppies to members of the public. Plus the fact that they - largely in part due to the attitude of New Labour - now see themselves as our masters rather than there to protect the public.

Tom thinks that RIPA is all for the greater good and the fact that councils are using this act to snoop on the very people who fund them seems to be not noticed by him. He might want to have a read of this: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/06/23/councils_ripa_warning/

The head of the Local Government Association (LGA) has today warned every council in England to restrict how their investigators use new surveillance powers, or risk losing public support.

Sir Simon Milton's letter follows a recent rash of news stories exposing how councils nationwide have been using the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (RIPA) to monitor dog fouling and littering. He urged councils to review how they authorise surveillance to ensure that only more serious transgressions such as fly tipping and benefit fraud are tackled by such means.

Tom however uses the classic 'Its all about the wee little ones' argument..

Surely no-one can have any objection to the use of these powers to gather evidence against paedophiles? He says on his blog.

Well actually yes you authoritarian cuntwaft. Yes I can. We have something called due process, oh and did the total fucking clusterfuck that was Operation Ore not register on your brain Tom? People who had had their credit card details on the list were rounded up.
Since 2003 Operation Ore has come under closer scrutiny, and the police forces in the UK have been criticised for their poor handling of the operation. The most common criticism is that they failed to determine whether or not the owners of credit cards in Landslide's database actually accessed any sites containing child porn, unlike in the U.S. where it was determined in advance whether or not credit card subscribers had purchased child porn. Investigative journalist Duncan Campbell exposed these flaws in a series of articles in 2005 and 2007.
As for the shit argument that if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear, well Tom just do us all a favour and fuck right off. Many of the people wrongly accused of being pedophiles in Operation Ore will I am sure also be telling him to go fuck yourself.

Tom uses the argument as well that RIPA is designed to catch terrorists, well aside from the much publicised cases of people being caught fly tipping, putting bins out on the wrong day and other cases of council heavy footing I see nothing of dubious terror plots being busted by Ripa, just more state fuckwittery like this gem:  http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2008/apr/11/localgovernment.ukcrime
A council yesterday admitted using laws designed to track serious criminals to spy on a family for nearly three weeks to find out if they were lying about living in a school catchment area.

The family are angry after Poole borough council, in Dorset, revealed it had followed them and watched them at home to check whether they lived in the correct area for one of their three children, a three-year-old girl, to be accepted at a local school.

The council used the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (RIPA) to draw up a list of the mother's movements from February 13 to March 3, showing the times and exact routes of school runs with her children.
So I wonder if Tom will argue that she was a deep undercover agent of Al-Quada?

Also these Ripa gems:
Derby City Council, Bolton, Gateshead and Hartlepool used surveillance to investigate dog fouling.
Bolton Council also used the act to investigate littering.
The London borough of Kensington and Chelsea conducted surveillance on the misuse of a disabled parking badge.
Liverpool City Council used Ripa to identify a false claim for damages.
Conwy Council used the law to spy on a person who was working while off sick.
(You may notice that not a mention of terrorism, terrorist activities or dubious dusky types plotting the downfall of the free world, unless one of the "terrorists had a dubious disabled parking badge?)

I had raised a few points with regards this on Toms blog, but sadly must assume that my e-mails got lost in the magical internet someplace?

But, like you, I suspect, nothing I’ve read so far causes me to change my mind.

Says MP Tom, well I have not changed my mind regards you Tom that is for sure and you can bet many others will not be happy with your ignoring of their concerns over civil liberties.

But then as an MP, one of the champagne swilling elite most of these powers won't touch you, as much of what this fuck up government does will also pass you by. The fact that hundreds of people disagree with Tom and he just says well they are just the plebs, I am the MP so they can all go fuck themselves, speaks volumes about our MP's.

Many of the other points I was going to raise I notice have been covered by DK, so I shall just link to the complete and utter contemptible little shitstain of an MP that is Tom Harris.

I shall add that if Tom shows as obviously as this, that he does not listen quite why are the good voters returning this fucker to The Commons?

My last point is that he was Transport Minister for a while, having traveled this land a fair bit of late I can add that Tom as done a poor job on transport as he has on listening to the electorate.

Maybe that has been Gordon Browns one good move in government in getting this dire little man out of transport.

Previous bit on fuckwit Tom Harris MP

“No more loathsome piece of flotsam has floated to the surface of Scottish New Labour than the lumpen piece of wood that is Tom Harris.” - George Galloway.
