Dubai - Shining beacon of tolerance, peace and love.

Woman accused of adultery jailed in Dubai under Sharia law.
A British mother who was on the run in Dubai after being found guilty of adultery has been jailed after handing herself into police.

Teaching assistant Marnie Pearce now faces the prospect of never seeing her two young children again.

Marnie, 40, originally from Bracknell in Berkshire, insists she never cheated on her ex-husband Ihab El-Labban and has been framed so he could win custody of their sons Laith, seven, and Ziad, four.

Miss Pearce said the marriage had been in difficulty for some time but fell apart last year and the couple separated. Miss Pearce remained in the marital home.
She claimed that subsequently she was falsely accused of adultery on the basis of evidence purportedly showing she had cheated on Mr El-Labban.
Miss Pearce then claimed that he burst into her home with several police officers in March this year as she was having a cup of tea with a colleague's brother-in-law.
"The police came in the front and back door with my husband who accused me of having an affair," she said.
"At the time, this man who I had met four times in my life - but was supposed to be having an affair with - was standing on the balcony upstairs having a cigarette and I was down in the kitchen making a cup of tea."
Miss Pearce, who finally received her divorce decree absolute last month, said she and the man were arrested, placed in handcuffs and interrogated by police.
Nearly four months later, she claims she was told by police that they had gathered evidence - including used condoms, a man's underpants and a man's jacket.
Miss Pearce was ordered to give a DNA sample but she claims the man alleged to have been involved was never contacted and has been free to travel back and forth to Dubai ever since.
She said her husband took possession of the family home and she and her sons were forced to stay in a shelter before seeking refuge with a friend.

Once she has served her three-month sentence, Marnie is set to be deported to the UK without her children.

Marnie took the decision to hand herself in on Thursday because she felt it was unfair on her children to live in hiding.

Speaking hours before being locked up, Marnie said: 'Handing myself in is the hardest thing I have ever done but for the sake of the children I have no choice.

'I have been waiting for three weeks in the belief that I may have been granted bail or the charges dropped.

'I don't regret hiding away with them, to spend as much time as I can with them as I may never see them again.'
Ah Sharia law the great legal system. So good for getting rid of upperty ex-wives. Just make an accusation of adultury and she is arrested, her word not being of equal value as a mans means she is almost certain to lose any court case.

So none of this fair trial nonsense, after all she is an infidel, a woman who should be seen and not heard.

I think he will be keeping quiet and arguing that that would be an ecumenical matter...

Ah the reality of religion exposed with father Ted.
Craggy Island is actually far more plausable than some deluded nomad wandering around the sand dunes hunting for little girls by day, and then by night floating up to see his schizophrenic alter ego on the back of a fucking donkey.
