Thousands of innocent people in Wales still on DNA database.

Wales on line runs with this story that the plod in South Wales have stuck more than 4,300 innocent people have been added to the DNA database by Welsh police forces since a European court ruling that the practice was illegal, according to new figures.

The figure equates to 15 new innocent people added every day since last December’s legal ruling.

The European Court of Human Rights decided that holding the profiles of innocent people indefinitely breached their rights – but the Government is yet to change the rules.

According to data released in parliamentary answers, almost one in 10 Welsh residents – 274,272 – have their profile on the DNA database.

But 57,069 have not been convicted of any offence, with 4,343 innocent people added since the court ruling. Only 17 profiles have been removed from the database since last December.

Jenny Willott, the Liberal Democrat MP for Cardiff Central, said: “It is appalling that the Government has allowed over a million innocent people to be added to the DNA database.

Although I do understand that they have not bothered in Merthyr Tydfil a sicknote drawing fuckhole, where no one works according to HM Govt stats (other that a window round or taxi job on the side) and where the DNA is the same for each and every one of them. Its a place where the words "sister" and "wife" are interchangeable.

Seriously though, Merthyr is a place where the local pond scum fail even to remove themselves from the gene pool. Oh and guess which place is No.1 for the largest number of dubious bad backs and assorted other mythical ailments?
